A typical stool is 45cm in seat height, the same as a dining chair. One of our favourite designs is the Mullca stool which was widely used by the French military as rugged practical seating with a dual function of being a bedside table. Another favourite is the classic Tolix metal stool which was only made at a height of 45 cm until higher versions were introduced in the 90’s.
