Going back to ancient times, the basket was the every day piece of storage and ultimately sustainable. Woven by hand using fast growing river reeds and rattan it was lightweight and hard wearing. Vintage baskets are increasingly hard to find, especially the more ‘industrially’ produced baskets, baskets with wire supports and wooden skids, market baskets or baskets from the vineyards grape pickers. Amazing decorative pieces and great practical storage.
