Merchant & Found is the creator of The Vintage Supermarket. In an iconic event held in London, in May 2024, we took over The Vinyl Factory in Soho and created a ridiculously fun and unusual retail event to launch our concept with 6000 sq ft or retail madness. In collaboration with London Craft Week, Vinterior and Reclaim we created the worlds first Vintage Supermarket.
Our concept was based on our love of vintage in volume, we spent several years sourcing unique vintage supermarket inspired products in volume and showcased them in a carefully curated retail environment. To further bring the concept to life we collaborated with a number of specialist contemporary craftspeople to bring contemporary craft to the space.
The event was a stunning success gaining enormous media attention, the concept lives on, on-line on our site, a slightly mad collection of genius small stuff you won’t be able to resist. One day when we have recovered, we will be back with a twist.
