Description:
Vintage French Workwear Jackets Blue Jackets (Small). Adolphe Lafont is credited with the creation of the first classic French workwear jacket, in the mid 19th Century. The ‘Bleu de Travail’ was born. A basic blue cotton drill jacket, unlined with a simple shirt collar, heavy duty front buttons, a couple of large front pockets, and a single breast pocket. The jacket is rooted in the French industrial revolution and has a strong symbolism of solidarity in France. We collect our stock all over the markets of France, most are well used and loved and all are in good condition. Occasionally we have new old stock, never worn and with labels. Average chest width when buttoned and laid flat: 43 cm. Selection is one random jacket.
