1890’s Faded French Large Original Drapers Table. One of the best most characterful pieces we have seen. The table is made in a heavily sun bleached and scrubbed pitch pine with six drawers either side. The top is full of aged character, supported on spindle bobbin legs with a lower shelf where the bolts of fabric would be stored. Beautifully made with doweled joints this table has survived over a hundred years of daily toil. Our workshop has serviced the table throughout, repairing the sub frame and remaking several of the drawers which were in a sorry state, all the drawers run well, the table is stable and ready to go.
