This collection has been personally sourced by Carolyn Quartermaine and represents a lifetimes passion for the beauty of found objects and how they work together to create stories. Some of the items come directly from Carolyn’s personal collection, others have been specifically sourced. “As an artist, the collaboration with Merchant & Found provides a perfect partnership to bring to market some of my iconic pieces.” There may be items photographed that are not included in the collection that is listed for sale, please refer to the collection list for clarity. The collection includes the following pieces, left to right, all in cm:
1. Three nineteenth century carved wooden frames in a patinated grey gold – Smallest: L72 W59 H5, Largest: L76 W65 H5
2. Nineteenth century French hand-blown clear glass demijohn – L35 W35 H46
3. 1960’s Plaster face mask from a sculptors studio collection – L15 W20 H27

Many of the pieces featured have an incredible past – sourced from a multitude of locations – auctions, dealers, brocantes, flea markets, inherited and found by Carolyn over the last quarter of a century.

The process of creating a new future is an essential part of all stories.
