1960's Original Glass Chess Piece Lamp - Ivan Jakes. The chess figures lamp collection was designed by Ivan Jake- in the 1960's. Jakes was a noted Czech sculptor, painter, master ceramist and industrial Artists, the lamp was produced by Osvetlovací Sklo in Valaské Mezirící. The bishop lamp is made of opaline glass with a beautiful milk white colour. The lamp has a wonderful shape and gives a soft warm light. All our lamps have been carefully restored and all electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. INCLUDED: Each lamp comes completely wired and ready to install. The lamp is fitted with a standard E27 threaded lamp holder for which a wide range of modern and vintage style filament bulbs is widely available. We do not currently sell bulbs and recommend LED bulbs 6W maximum. Listing is for the single lamp.

We take electrical safety very seriously, our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that every lamp leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. Each lamp has been cleaned and restored and all original electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. Each lamp comes completely wired.
