Description:

1960's Linking And Stacking Chairs By Clive Bacon - Large Quantities Available. Bacon's ingenious jigsaw leg design enables the chairs to be connected together to form solid rows and also allows the chairs to be easily stacked for practical storage. The chairs are notable as the Winner of the Council of Industrial Design's Design Centre Award in 1963 and form part of the V&A's permanent furniture design collection. The chairs were selected for the brutalist brick New Bury Unitarian Church in Lancashire which was designed and constructed by local architect James T Ratcliffe. Beautifully made in solid beech the chairs are strong sturdy and comfortable as well as being such a pure and simple design. Each chair passes through our own workshops where they are checked, cleaned and serviced as appropriate. We sell chairs of excellent quality. Seat height 45cm.

Workshop Report:

Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
