1950’s Remploy English Stacking Dining Chairs. Remploy was originally established under the terms of the Disabled Persons (Employment) Act 1944, to directly employ disabled persons in specialised factories. Remploy’s first factory opened in Bridgend, Wales, in 1946 and Remploy still operates to this day. These chairs are a classic Remploy design produced in volume in the 1950’s. The chairs feature the classic Remploy tubular structure with heavy weight birch seats and backs. Our workshop has cleaned and serviced each chair they are good to go.
