1950’s PEL Tubular Stacking Upholstered Dining Chair – Red Frame. PEL chairs are a British essential and this set was an incredible find in exceptional original condition, nearly all with PEL branding. PEL are best known for the simpler tubular frame ply seat chairs and occasionally we come across the upholstered chairs. The frames are a heavy weight original tomato red and the chairs retain their tough rexine upholstered seats and backs which are mostly in great condition. However, the foam has deteriorated over time in most of the seats so they aren’t all cushioned. We have left them in this state to keep their originality. Our workshop services and rejuvenates each chair before it leaves us. Seat Height 45cm.

All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
