Description:

1950's Lamstak Sapele Stacking Dining Chairs. This is one of our favourite models of chairs. Designed by Lamstak it was an iconic school, Church, community chair of the 50's. Lamstak was a large producer of chairs in the mid century period. They pioneered making chairs using laminated beech bentwood for strength and these are classic examples but unusually they are made in Sapele wood. The chair frame is made of strong laminated beech with laminated sapele one piece seats and back. We service and rejuvenate all our chairs in our own workshop, these chairs are a little more battleworn and you can see their scars in the photos. Seat Height 45cm.

Workshop Report:

Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
