1950’s Heyes Large Cast Bulkhead Lamp. Founded in 1922 Heyes of Water Heyes Electrical works in Wigan was a key maker of heavy weight industrial electrical fixtures for power stations, mines, oil rigs and so on. Their products were typically made to survive extensive fire or explosion damage allowing electrical circuits and lighting to continue working after such extreme events. These lamps are heavy weight cast aluminium bodies with cast glass lenses. The lamp has been cleaned and restored and all electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. Each lamp comes completely wired and ready to install, the lamp is surface mounted. The lamp is fitted with a standard E27 threaded lamp holder for which a wide range of modern and vintage style filament bulbs are widely available. We do not currently sell bulbs and recommend LED bulbs 6W maximum. We are specialists in refurbishment of vintage lighting, please contact us with any questions regarding purchase or installation.
