Description:

1950’s French Red Upholstered Dining Chairs By Roneo – Set Of Fourteen. The phrase Roneo referred to a very early precursor to the photo copy machine, a simple machine that used ink and stencils to produce copies. The company was founded in England and later found its success in France where it dominated the office seating and storage market This model of chair is one of our favourites, the sled chrome bases, sprung seats and faded Rexine upholstery. In great condition for their age we have left them as is, our workshop has cleaned them that is all. The seats feature sprung coil suspension which is supported on the original hessian webbing. The fabric hanging in places is the early original cotton under cloth used simply to finish the underside. We have left them as they are because we love the originality. If you would like the bottoms tidied up with a new cotton cloth our workshop team can do this for a small charge. Comfortable chairs full of character and very hard to find. Seat Height: 46cm
