Description:

1950’s French Baumann Dark Walnut Classic Dining Chair. Baumann is a slightly off the radar French producer just starting to gain traction in the market. Baumann was founded in 1901, by Swiss man Emile Baumann, in Colombier Fontaine, France. Baumann started producing a simple child’s chair but grew rapidly to be a large bentwood producer with showrooms all over France. In our view the chairs of the 50’s and 60′ are their best, beautifully made and designed. This model is the classic with an elegant shaped seat and back in laminated and bent beech and in a stunning dark walnut colour. All our chairs pass through our own workshop where we service and prepare them for their next journey.
