1940’s Classic French Spindle Back Dining Chairs – Set Of Six. A good set of six early spindle back bentwood chairs from France, probably made by Luterma but not marked so we can’t say for sure. Thonet invented the process of steam bending wood under pressure and used this to design the classic bentwood chairs still in production today. Our workshop has gently serviced the chairs. cleaning and waxing them and brining out the rich original colour and character.
