One of our favourite really practical dining solutions is sets of trestles tables and benches. These sets were typically used by brewers all over Europe to subtly market their beers with stamped or painted logos on the tables and benches. Our other favourite is the sets we find all over Germany from the summer beer festivals. Often made of pine they will withstand a good few rainy days but pack up in the winter for storage.
