Vintage Flooring

Vintage rugs have an almost cult like status for interior designers and collectors, it is one of the rare products which is produced by hand in most countries using their own unique national or even tribal techniques, designs and materials. The techniques of hand woven rugs are often passed down by generation and can vary by region, tribe or culture. We tend to focus on the rugs from Morocco, closer to home and famed for their simplicity and beauty of design. Our favourites are the delicate, but incredibly hardwearing Tuareg designs but you can’t go wrong with a simple Berber stripe. Proper original Moroccan rugs get better with age, and in our view the occasional hand stitched repair reflects the care and love gone into maintaining a much loved rug.
