1950's Bentwood Debrecen Dining Standard Arm Chairs - Good Quantity Available. This listing is for what we call a 'standard shape' of Debrecen dining arm chairs, the chairs will always have a simple single bar arm back, a mid to dark oak colour and classic shape as shown but there will be minor design differences in chair detail. The variation could be on leg shape, seat construction or another minor design difference. For all orders we will select a random mix of this model. All chairs are original Debrecen bentwood chairs from the 1950's and every chair has been serviced and rejuvenated in our own workshops it is s hard to be precise about the origin of these chairs as little history is known, but what we do know is at the beginning of the 20th Century Debrecen was a bentwood maker in Hungary. Three major producers existed in Hungary, producing chairs in various factories throughout the Austro Hungarian empire. These chairs are 1950's, they not labelled Debrecen but we are confident they are. Beautiful surviving and fascinating chairs. All our chairs pass through our own workshop where they are gently serviced and sensitively restored, we only sell vintage of excellent quality. Seat height average 47cm.

All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
