1950's Bentwood Debrecen Dining Chairs - Harlequin Set Of Ten. It is hard to be precise about the origin of these chairs as little history is known, but what we do know is at the beginning of the 20th Century two producers existed J&J Kohn and Mundus. Both produced chairs in various factories throughout the Austro Hungarian empire. This set is a harlequin mix of one of the most famous and beautiful early shapes. Probably late 1940's early 1950's from Debrecen, we know they are Mundus models because we have seen marked examples. Either way, beautiful surviving and fascinating chairs. All our chairs pass through our own workshop where they are gently serviced and sensitively restored, we only sell vintage of excellent quality. Seat height 46cm.
