The 20th Century was an extraordinary period for lighting production with many iconic makers producing huge volumes of pendant lighting used to light factories, hotels and public buildings. Iconic makers such as Benajamin or Thorlux in England or Sammode and Holophane in France. We specialise in 20th Century furniture and lighting with a gentle nod to industrial; we are champions of the forgotten makers, the legendary producers that were so prevalent in the 20th Century. We search Europe to find exceptional pieces with a story to tell, a provenance and a history.
Our workshop carefully dismantles all lighting to its constituent parts prior to a full safety inspection and rewiring. Our aim is always to keep the light as original as possible but replace and modernise the hidden fittings to ensure the fittings safety.
