1960's Mixed Ebonised Church - Chapel Dining Chairs - Good Quantity Available. England has a wonderfully rich heritage for making chairs. At the height of production at the turn of the last century over 4500 chairs were being produced daily in the villages around High Wycombe. Each chair was hand made typically in ash, elm or occasionally beech. Sadly Churches find non stacking chairs take up too much space so they find their way to us to for a second rich life. This batch is from the 1960's and are unusually made in beech with a later ebonised/painted finish. Good strong and practical chairs the ebonised finish gives them a contemporary twist. We service and wax each chair individually before they leave our workshop. At time of listing we have 27 available and they are priced as a mixed design. Listing is for one chair. Seat heights 44/45 cm.

Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
