19th Century French Orangery Benches - Original Scumble Paint. At the time of listing we have three of these exceptional bases which came from a chateau orangery. The benches are made from solid pitch pine and were originally painted in a scumble paint with a faux wood grain. The paint has not been modified at all, it is totally originally, simply faded and worn, but totally original and we have left it as per the original, faded and peeling. Exceptionally rare benches, they are strong and stable, we left them virtually untouched and just cleaned them up. Seat height 50cm. Listing is for a single bench.

All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
