Rare Early 1940’s PEL Bakelite Seat Dining Chairs – Set Of Four – Other Quantities Available

Description

Set of four rare early 1940’s vintage PEL stacking Bakelite seat Dining Chairs. PEL was the first major producer of the tubular stacking chairs initially developed by the Bauhaus movement. These chairs are from the late 40’s with PEL’s very early branding label. The frame is tubular metal and the seats are the sought after Bakelite finish. We have a number of these chairs available and are selling them in any multiple required, sets of four, six, eight or simply in singles (£65). We service and wax each chair individually before they leave our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. We specialise in high quality vintage dining chairs and have a large range. We only sell the very best chairs in great condition with rich colour and patina, please see the other dining chairs we have listed and please contact us for more details or advice. Seat Height 45cm.

Workshop Report

Note: These chairs are over 70 years old and although they are in great original condition there are some small chips to the Bakelite seats on some chairs. Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
