1960’s Small Compact Bar – Glass Gramophone Cabinet – Nabytek. Beautiful simple and classic mid century compact cabinet sourced in the Czech Republic. Produced by Nabytek in Brno in the Czech Republic. Czech design will always be affiliated to the Bauhaus movement which inspired a generation of design and industrial production in Czechia principally during the second half of the 20th , with producers such as Ton and Up Zavody amongst many others. Nabytek’s was one of the top end cabinet producers competing with Up Zavody. This is a high quality compact cabinet used originally to house a gramophone but it would also make a great bar or display cabinet. The top section has a glass top, mirrored back and two glass sliding doors with two compact drawers below. Beautifully made in birch with stunning ebonised architectural legs. Internal dimension 25L x 70W. All dimensions cm. The cabinet is very original but our workshop has gently cleaned and restored it ensuring all doors and drawers run and open smoothly.
