1960’s Compact Birch Sideboard – Drawer Unit – Nabytek Czech. Beautiful simple and classic mid century cabinet sourced in the Czech Republic. Produced by Nabytek in Brno in the Czech Republic. Czech design will always be affiliated to the Bauhaus movement which inspired a generation of design and industrial production in Czechia principally during the second half of the 20th , with producers such as Ton and Up Zavody amongst many others. Nabytek’s was one of the top end cabinet producers competing with Up Zavody. This is a high quality practical sideboard with the left cabinet section and four original drawers. The piece is beautifully made with book matched veneers centred on the middle of the cabinet front. Internal dimensions left section 41L x 53W x 24H (top and bottom). Right side internal drawer dimensions 38L x 52W x 9H. All dimensions cm. The sideboard is very original but our workshop has gently cleaned and restored it ensuring all doors and drawers run and open smoothly.
