1950’s Vintage Edwin Cinch Square Cast Dining Table
Description
1950’s Vintage Edwin Cinch Square Cast Dining Table. Edwin Cinch was best known for his role as one of two designers (the other was Herbert Cutler) commissioned in 1943 by the then Board of Trade to create a functional range of furniture given the significant raw material restrictions in the 1940’s. The scheme was known as the Utility Furniture Scheme. This table was designed by Cinch, and produced in cast aluminium in the early 1950’s. All furniture from the utility scheme was marked with the Utility logo CC41 and the number of the manufacturer. These tables rarely come available and are definite future classics.
