1950’s Remploy Grey Tubular Metal Stacking Dining Chairs – Set Of Six
1950’s Remploy Tubular Metal Stacking Dining Chairs – Set Of Six. Remploy was established in 1944 by the Disabled Persons (Employment) Act, the aim of which was to provide employment for people injured during the war and coal miners with health conditions. Remploy was on of the largest producers of tubular stacking chairs initially developed by the Bauhaus movement. These chairs are from the mid 50’s with Remploy branding. The frame is tubular metal and the seats birch ply. We service and wax each chair individually before they leave our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. Seat Height 45cm.
Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
