1970’s Original Mid Century Sofa – Daybed By Miroslav Navratil – Interieur Praha. Beautiful simple and classic mid century daybed sourced in the Czech Republic. The daybed is original throughout with a birch wood frame and details and the original upholstery. The mechanism allows the sofas rear supports to swing out of the way to allow the back to lay flat forming a stable daybed (or sofabed) platform. The sofa features the original fabric which has been deep cleaned and steamed in our workshops. Czech was a large producer of high quality mid century furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the Bauhaus school. A good practical piece of elegant mid century furniture. We sell high quality vintage and our workshop has gently restored this piece to bring out it’s original colour. (Extended width when flat 89cm). Seat height 41cm.
