1950?s Original French Multipl?s Metal Dining Chairs ? Pair. Designed by Joseph Mathieu and made in Pierre Benite in Lyon . These chairs are an iconic part of Industrial French History. Each chair was hand pressed in huge industrial presses before being hand welded together. The chairs are in their original paint showing wear commensurate with their age. These chairs make an exceptional design statement but are also a good practical scale as a dining chair for regular use. Multipl?s was, in its day the competitor to Tolix, although sadly Multipl?s did not survive. Examples of Multipl?s chairs in this condition are becoming increasingly rare, many that are available do not have the original paint and/or they have been badly restored. We service and wax each chair individually before they leave our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. We specialise in high quality vintage dining chairs and have a large range.
