1950’s Original Blue French Tolix Wood Seat Metal Bistro Dining Chair – Set Of Ten

Description

1950’s Original Blue French Tolix Wood Seat Metal Bistro Dining Chair – Set Of Ten. Tolix is one of our all time favourite companies. In 1907 Frenchman Xavier Pauchard discovered that he could protect sheet metal from rusting by dipping it in molten zinc (galvanisation) and a few years later he set up his factory producing steel furniture. Tolix was the creator and founder of perhaps the most iconic cafe chair of all time, the Tolix model A, designed in 1934 and sadly now copied worldwide. This Tolix model is very rare, it is unusual to find the wood seat version with the elegant steel frame and kicked back legs with the original blue paint, these chairs are in exceptional original condition. Our workshop services each chair before it leaves us and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. Seat Height 47cm.
