1950’s Original Machinists Desk Lamps By EDL – Pair. EDL started production in 1922 in Staffordshire England and is still producing to this day. This pair of lamps in classic 50’s industrial colours would have simply been screwed to a machinists work station, we have repurposed them and mounted them on sturdy Iroko bases. The lamps have been carefully restored and all electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. INCLUDED: Each lamp comes completely wired and ready to install. The lamps are fitted with a standard E27 threaded lamp holder for which a wide range of modern and vintage style filament bulbs are widely available. We do not currently sell bulbs and recommend LED bulbs 6W maximum. Listing is for the pair. The lamps have good articulated arms which extend to a height of approximately 78cm but look best at about the 40/50cm height. The lamp housing swivels with a simple ball mechanism. Good practical machinists lamps designed to pinpoint the light source and great reinterpreted as desk lamps.
