1950’s Multipl’s Red Dining Chair
1950’s Multipl’s red dining chair. Designed by Joseph Mathieu and made in Pierre Benite in Lyon . These chairs are an iconic part of Industrial French History. Each chair was hand pressed in huge industrial presses before being hand welded together. The chair is in its original paint showing wear commensurate its age. These chairs make an exceptional design statement but are also a good practical scale as a dining chair for regular use. Multipl’s was, in its day the competitor to Tolix, although sadly Multipl’s did not survive. Seat Height 46cm.
