1950’s Mahieu Bentwood Mid Tan Dining Chairs – Set Of Seventeen. Classic early beech bistro chair made in France by the maker Mahieu. Not much is known of the history of Mahieu except they were a was a small artisanal producer in Romeries in the north of France, and closed its production in the 1980’s. A classic French bentwood producer in the same style as Baumann, Thonet or J.J. Kohn. This set of is an early set with elegant backs with three central vertical supports and a rich well used colour, most chairs have stamped striped seats but two seats are plain. We have cleaned them, thatÂ’s all. Stunning original condition. We service and wax each chair before they leave our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. Seat height 47cm.
