1950’s Good Sized Fitted Wardrobe By By Tatra Pravenec
1950’s Good Sized Fitted Wardrobe By Tatra Pravenec. Produced by Tatra Pravenec in the Czech Republic. Czech design will always be affiliated to the Bauhaus movement which inspired a generation of design and industrial production thought Czechia principally during the second half of the 20th Century with producers such as Ton and Up Zavody amongst many others. Tatra Pravenec’s origins were originally as a timber and bentwood producer and supplier of chairs, but in the boom period of post-war furniture production they developed as a sophisticated independent producer. This is a high quality practical fitted wardrobe with the original dressing mirror and shelf, tie or belt rail and good practical fittings with two small drawers. Made in birch throughout it is in exceptional condition having been sensitively restored in our own workshop. The doors open and close well and lock with the original key. Internal dimensions: Left side 50Lx147Hx59W, right top section 50Lx20Hx51W and the middle section 50Lx92Hx51W all cm. The drawers run smoothly.
Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
