1950’s English School Display Cabinet – Hinged Front
Description
1950’s English School Display Cabinet – Hinged Lid. A practical piece of storage sourced from an English secondary college where it was used as storage and display in the library. The drawers below are used to store collections of manuscripts and documents and the open top section is used for display. Beautifully made in a slightly austere 50’s design, the cabinet is made of oak with the lighter birch used a contrast. Drawers are dovetailed and the top section is accessed through the door flap that opens with a lock and key. Internal drawer dimensions 55L x 52W x 10H, Central cupboard 60L x 58W x 70H all cm.
