1940’s Solid Oak Rectangular Dining Table With Bleached Scrubbed Base
1940’s vintage solid Oak rectangular dining table. A wonderful dining table with a scrubbed Oak stretcher base and three plank solid Oak top. A well proportioned table that comfortably seats three people either side as the top has a good overhang. With an additional person seated at each end this makes the table a practical six/eight seater family table. Please check our other listings as we carry a large stock of chairs many of which would coordinate very well with this table. Please ask us for suggested dining chair options, we can also send photographs of combinations and offer a ten percent discount when a set of tables and chairs is purchased together.
Please note that one end of the top has a decent 4-5 mm split between two of the panels. The opening extends approximately 15cm. This opening is purely a result of natural movement in the solid timbers and in our view is just great character. The subframe also has a small piece missing on the top rail which is hidden underneath the top when the top is secured in place. Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
