1940’s Mahieu Bentwood Walnut Tri Slat Dining Chairs – Set Of Three. Classic early beech bistro chair made in France by the maker Mahieu. Not much is known of the history of Mahieu except they were a was a small artisanal producer in Romeries in the north of France, and closed its production in the 1980’s. A classic French bentwood producer in the same style as Baumann, Thonet or J.J. Kohn. This set of is a very early set with three elegant vertical supports and a rich well used character. We have cleaned them, thatÂ’s all. Stunning original condition. We service and wax each chair before they leave our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. Seat height 47cm.
