1940’s Chest Of Drawers Fourteen Drawers – Fourteen Drawers. We are not sure of the history of this piece but the design of the panelled sides shows clearly that it has been modified at some stage but from our detective work it was some time ago as the hardwood top has good age. Other than that, the chest is a lovely original piece retaining fourteen original drawers complete with original brass handles and marker plates. Principally made from pitch pine with a rich mahogany stain it has a great colour and feel and is a good practical size. All drawers run smoothly. Internal drawer dimensions: Small drawers 36L x 25H x 13W, larger drawers 48L x 55H x 14W all cm.
