1930’s Pair Of H269 Reupholstered Armchairs – Jindrich Halabala
1930’s Pair Of H269 Reupholstered Armchairs – Jindrich Halabala. Halabala was a Czech industrial designer, writer, and educator. Halabala was a key force in the development of post war industrially produced European furniture. Sourced in the Czech Republic the frame is beech throughout and the extraordinary one piece bentwood beech arms have been cleaned and restored but retain their original patina. The internal beech frame has been carefully restored as required and all the foam and internal upholstery has been replaced and reupholstered using fire resistant foam and UK fabric. We have selected this new 100% wool heather fleck herringbone tweed fabric and reupholstered the chairs throughout. Originally manufactured by Up Zavody. Seat Height: 44 cm.
Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
