1930’s Original French Metal Four Door Mesh Locker By Gantois. In the tradition of Forge des Strasbourg Gantois was one of a handful of major sheet metal producers operating out of South East of France in Vosges. Gantois started life in 1894 and is still trading today as an architectural steel specialist. The company was renowned for its work in perforated steel which was widely used in industrial lockers. This locker is one of the finest we have seen in the most exceptional original condition. The locker retains its original features and externally a worn raw steel finish, wire hangers and the original mesh locker doors. The doors and latches all operate well, the body is made from riveted steel panels. The inside has been painted black at some stage. A collectors piece to be enjoyed.
