1920’s Original French Brass Framed Mirrored Jewellers Shop Display Counter. One of the most exceptional pieces we have bought. Sourced in France and fully restored in our workshop this is a very rare and special piece. The counter is brass framed with the original mirrored display inside and two tiers of glass shelves centred around the original rear accessed storage section. The shop assistant would have stood behind where they accessed stock stored in the two tamboured sections. The left side drawers are 30Wx32Lx9H, the internal shelves 59Wx23Lx15H. The internal drawers 34Wx26Lx9H.
Behind the right side tambour the left shelves are 39Wx30Lx18H, right side 80Wx30Lx21H. The tambours and drawers run smoothly. The left drawer retains its’s extraordinary locking/alarm mechanism as it was the cash drawer. To disengage the ‘alarm’ bell the assistant had to reach in and operate the brass levers to disengage the bell. An exceptional piece in beautiful condition.
