1920's Original Forge de Strasbourg - Strafor Locker - The Forge de Strasbourg was founded in the South East of France in 1919. They were one of the global pioneers of the manufacture of sheet metal furniture principally for industry, and undoubtedly recognisable by the signature rippled steel finish. In 1926 the company launched the brand 'Strafor' and moved into atelier furniture with more sophisticated and branded pieces. The early 'pre Strafor' pieces are recognisable by their utilitarian design and absence of branding. This is an exceptional and very rare piece. The door opens and shuts well and the original latches all work. Original wire on sloping roof we believe is a hat retainer. Internal dimensions Top Shelf 28L x 141H x 36W.
