1890s Bentwood Debrecen Single Dining Chair
1890s Bentwood Debrecen Single Dining Chair. It is hard to be precise about the origin of this chair as little history is known, but what we do know is at the beginning of the 20th Century two producers existed J&J Kohn and Mundus. Both produced chairs in various factories throughout the Austro Hungarian empire. This chair is an early model probably 1890s from Debrecen or Mundus, we know it is a Mundus model because we have seen marked examples.
