Description:
Created in 1956 by Jean Pauchard, the A56 Armchair has become one of the great classics of 20th-century furniture. It was designed to meet the demands of terraces and cafes. The A56 Armchair is stackable. In the 1950s, 25 stacked units did not exceed 2.3 meters. It is available in a steel version, either in its classic form or raised by 5cm (A56+) for versatile use. It incorporates the same fundamentals as its predecessor, the Chair A. Every stage of its production relies on the craftsmanship of TOLIX's workshops: stamping, bending, brazing, and polishing. These unique gestures, which have earned TOLIX recognition as a Living Heritage Company, give our products a unique quality and an extra touch of soul. Like the Chair A, TOLIX has decided to offer it in only three finishes that only TOLIX teams can achieve with such a degree of perfection. A glossy finish in pure white that perfectly reveals the curvature work, providing a streamlined vision of contemporary furniture. A polished raw steel finish highlighting the unique hand of our artisans enhanced by a varnish. Finally, the historic galvanized finish, which only TOLIX still offers as a tribute to Mr. Pauchard, ensuring your product can withstand all climates and stand the test of time by your side. Tolix furniture is made by hand in Autun France and is available to order on a 4 to 6 week lead time.
