Beschrijving:
1960’s Large Mid-Century Cabinet – Book Matched Oak. Designed by Jiri Jiroutek and produced by Tatra Pravenec in the Czech Republic. Czech design will always be affiliated to the Bauhaus movement which inspired a generation of design and industrial production in Czechia principally during the second half of the 20th Century with producers such as Ton and Up Zavody amongst many others. Tatra Pravenec’s origins were originally as a timber and bentwood producer and supplier of chairs, but in the boom period of post-war furniture production they developed as a sophisticated independent producer. The inside of the cabinet features a small internal storage area with an adjustable shelf and a small drawer. The main cabinet is made from well figured birch with a contrasting sapele interior. The whole cabinet is beautifully made sitting on a blonde birch base. Our workshop has gently restored the cabinet so all drawers and doors run well and the cabinet is in exceptional original condition.
