1950’s Flat Front Farmhouse Dining Chairs – Set Of Four. The process of steam bending beech to create elegant chairs was discovered and developed by Thonet, but when its patents expired in 1869, many companies including Luterma launched production. Luterma was one of the brands marketed by Estonian factory A.M. Luther which was founded in the late 19th Century in Tallinn. Luther’s production was principally in Estonia but they also had factories in France for local market production. At the time of the Bauhaus movement Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer worked with the factory to develop various models. These chairs date from the 1950’s, a simple classic farmhouse shape with a beautiful colour and defined backs. We service and rejuvenate each chair before it leaves our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. The chairs are not marked as Luterma but we are very confident they are.

Al onze vintage producten tonen de rijke schoonheid en geschiedenis van hun leven met de stoten en stoten van vele jaren van gebruik en we proberen restauratie te minimaliseren om elk stuk zo origineel mogelijk te houden.
