1950’s Baumann Bentwood Honey Oak Bistro Dining Chair – Single Bar Back. Classic beech bistro chair made in France by the maker Baumann. Baumann is a slightly off the radar French producer just starting to gain traction in the market. Baumann was founded in 1901, by Swiss man Emile Baumann, in Colombier Fontaine, France. Baumann started producing a simple child’s chair but grew rapidly to be a large bentwood producer with showrooms all over France. Beautifully made and designed. We have cleaned them, that’s all. Stunning original patina with warm coloured frames and the classic single horizontal back support. We service and wax each chair before they leave our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality.
