1920's Large Characterful French Kitchen Preparation Table - Turned Legs. We love this work table with it's heavy substantial fruitwood table it started life in a scullery kitchen where it's heavy thick top was perfect for heavy duty kitchen use, with crates and large pans stored below, the drawers were sectioned off for spices. In later years as the kitchen was modernised the table was moved out and has probably spent some time in a workshop where it has picked up more knocks and marks. We have left it as is, save for a good clean. Our workshop team has given it some love, it is stunning, stable and ready to go. The base is solid pitch pine, the drawers are well made with tongue and groove joints, and original turned handles.
Workshop Report:
Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
